Nose: Neat: very sweet mouth watering caramel, vanilla, molasses. Faint oak. Faint cherry and nuttiness With water: waaay more nuttiness with water Body: Neat: full, bold With water: medium to full, looses a little bit of its bite Palate: Neat: packed full of flavor, caramel, vanilla, spicy With water: I found this to be very peanuty, like peanuts dipped in caramel. Really extremely good. The very last sip I got a hint of cherry. Finish: Neat: very long and smoky sweet. With water: still long maybe not quite as long. Note: 1ounce from don. Oh my god that is good. The first sip was like a firework of flavor, classic bourbon flavors caramel, vanilla but vibrant dancing on your tongue and brining some heat. I love the finish. A long smoky caramel is how all bourbon should be. I’d like a bottle of this. Yum! A taste from Jared. This time around the heat hit me first along with caramel and vanilla standard fare but there was some sweetness hidden in the heat. Jared felt the heavy char was not kind to this dram but I think, while not as good as last years version, this is still very flavorful. I got smoky caramel on the second sip. I’m drinking it neat and don’t get any of the nuttiness I got before. Noses like smoky caramel and vanilla. I like it. Not as much as the rye but this is good

Nose: Neat: vanilla, cherry, caramel. Little oaky. Really nice nose Water: cherry and red licorice predominate (rye influence?) Palate: Neat: oaky, caramel, smooth, faint spice Water: more cherry, red licorice like the nose. Very delicious. Body: Neat: medium Water: light to medium Finish: Neat: medium, lingering smoky caramel Water: medium short. Not enough lingering flavor but what does linger is delicious. Note: a taster from Jared. About 2oz. First taste was very nice. Very smooth too no burn. This is a very nice smooth cherry dominate sweet vanilla light caramel bourbon.

Representing speyside the fiddich and dullan rivers aka dufftown Nose: Neat: sherry, caramel, port wine, bag of mixed nuts Water: brought out mint, that was cool. But more sweet raisiny nuts. Body: Neat: medium to full and coating the whole mouth Water: MJ says rich I would agree, envelopes the mouth. Palate Neat: Carmel, molasses, melted smoked raisin Water: the wine comes waaay up from with lingering smokey raisin caramel. Very good. Finish: Neat: long and lingering, syrupy raisin and sherry, delicious. Water: love how this linger and lingers. Really delicious. Note: another 1.5-2 ounce sample from Jared. Initial impression is this is very good and different. More raisiny. Extremely easy to drink but complex enough to make you linger on each sip. A very well designed and put together dram just delicious.

Representing speyside: dufftown: fiddich & Dullan rivers Nose: neat: honey, caramel, sherry, vanilla. Pepper. Citrus fruit. Raisin. The sherry honey sweetness is what stands out. After the first sip more orange came out, almost like orange toffee. with water: orange dominated with honey sweetness. Sherry in the background Body: neat: thin and light. with water: still thin and light Palate: neat: oaky sweetness with some faint caramel and a hit of smokiness which is lovely. with water: pepper stood out and caramel cane to the for front. Finish: neat: I was surprised it was medium in length and a little lasting smokiness which I love with scotch. It’s like a sweet smoky caramelly orange. with water: no change with water but more Carmel, orange sweetness with a Burnt oakiness. Delicious. Note: this was given to me at a sample 1.5-2oz from Jared. Initial sip was nice. It was a little distant and smokey which I liked and opened up into the sweetness. This was an interesting dream that just kept evolving sip after sip. The flavors were swirling around and a round which made this very enjoyable.

Nose: earthy peat smoke, salty sea, vanilla, apricot, nuts, malt, coffee, hint of marshmallow. Body: medium to light Palate: lots of earthy smokiness. Charcoal. Finish: smoke lasts a long time. Note: better than 2017 cardieas

Nose: earthy peat, sweet hard to place, oak. Malted nuts. Body: medium to full Palate: spicey, tobacco smoke Finish: long smoke Note: nice but wouldn’t buy it. A taste with Anne and John.

Nose: Carmel, vanilla, rye, nuttiness, molasses. Body: thin Palate: caramel, vanilla, cherry, a tangy thing going on (reminds me of ketchup or vinegar but it’s not a bad thing doesn’t taste bad, just another flavor) Finish: medium, some lingering smokiness which I like. Note: drank neat. Wow Delicious is the first impression, much less heat than I expected given younger age. This is really good stuff.

Nose: grainy, faint sweetness, oak, raisins, heather, sherry Body: light Palate: heather with wafts of smoke but faint. Sweet, honey, very smooth. Finish: short and sweet Note: the oaky nose is not on the palate. This is nice but not amazing.

Nose: smokey caramel, cherry, vanilla, malty & bready Body: thin Palate: smooth. Caramel, vanilla, Smokey. Finish: medium to long Note: this is a nice dram. It’s light and thin but Smokey and caramel like. Has a nice long finish that’s very nice.
