Little Book Chapter 3: The Road Home
Blended American Whiskey — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed September 19, 2019Nose: such a rich smell. I smell oranges and caramel and some oak Palate: soooo smooth with heavy caramel and such a rich palate. It’s soooo good and changes my mind completely about the little book lineup. I need another. Finish: tobacco finish like 1792 full proof and it just sits there and lingers forever. Also the color on this is insaneeee. So dark125.0 USD per Bottle -
Woodford Reserve Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 18, 2019 (edited September 19, 2019)Nose: spicy and wheaty. Almost like the bernheim nose. Nail polish a little bit too, not as potent Palate: very subtle sweetness. The wheat is up front. I definitely like this one but it lacks the fullness. I wish they’d try a wheated bourbon instead of a wheat whiskey. Finish: typical woodford finish with a bit of spice40.0 USD per Bottle -
Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 13 Year (Spring 2019)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 17, 2019 (edited March 20, 2020)Nose: smells like pappy. A little more floral though. But definitely smells like a wonderful wheater. Palate: so rich of tobacco like 1792 full proof but so sweet at the same time. Very balanced and really amazing. Just wow though. I need another. Finish: almost blueberries like pappy. To me it’s very similar. Vanilla intertwined too in there130.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose: caramel, a full thing of vanilla extract, fruity Palate: smooth like blanton’s but just a bit tart initially. The tartness takes over the palate buttery/oily with some fruityness coming through Finish: sour and rich medium finish. Honestly very good just not as sweet as blanton’s or Weller. Much more tart39.0 USD per Bottle

Nose: ethanol and maple syrup. Almost like a Canadian whisky aroma Palate: creamier than the 80 proofed brother. Not as much flavor as the 100 proofed though but this is still such a solid bourbon to me. So smooth and sweet Finish: small amounts of caramel and vanilla but the maple syrupness is there all the way through $23 for a half gallon23.0 USD per Bottle

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2017-02 "Blue Knights Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 12, 2019Nose: vanilla and burn on the nose Palate: very hot and Spicy. The sweetness takes a hit from the burn. But a little vanilla shows through. Finish: caramel and the burn holds for a while11.0 USD per Pour -
Nose: interesting subtle nose. Caramel and fruit Palate: so much spice up front. I was very shocked. Some type of mocha caramel. Honestly a good subtle bourbon but nothing incredible I don’t think. Gonna see how it does opened up. Finish: the spice lingers for a while. But it is incredibly smooth and long finish.38.0 USD per Bottle

Rhetoric 25 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 7, 2019 (edited January 22, 2020)Nose: same general nose as the 24 year. Sweet and vanilla. Probably a little more vanilla though. Palate: much less bite and much more oak. The fruitiness takes a step back after the extra year. Finish: mainly oak with a little bit of vanilla. Still a solid bourbon to me!130.0 USD per Bottle
