Glen Moray 2002 (Alexander Murray)
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 16, 2019 (edited November 22, 2019)Found this at Costco a couple months ago. $28.99 for a cask strength, 12 year old, single malt scotch. Too good of a deal to pass up. Initially I get Dole fruit cocktail syrup on the nose, after a few minutes it morphs into salty caramel apple and some apricot type notes. The palate is initially salty with stone fruits, but the heat overwhelms my taste buds very quickly. There's a short sour note on the lengthy, spicy finish. A splash of water mutes the heat on the palate and brings forth some caramel, it also seems to eliminate the sour note on the finish. -
The Sovereign Tullibardine 10 year
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed November 16, 2019 (edited November 17, 2019)This is a single malt from a single cask, non chill-filtered, natural color and bottled at cask strength, 58.6 abv. Bottle 45 of 270. First thing I noticed on the nose was the powdered chocolate which was followed by some stone fruits and citrus. The palate was hot, I mean really hot, my first sip burned all the way down my gullet. I added a teaspoon of water which calmed the heat, the palate then displayed vanilla, apricot and other stone fruits. The finish lingered a long time with the stone fruits and chocolate making a reprise. -
Ledaig 1997 20 Year Cask Strength (Alexander Murray & Co.)
Single Malt — Isle of Mull, Scotland
Reviewed November 15, 2019 (edited May 1, 2020)Strong peat, band aids, iodine, light burnt rubber and stone fruit notes on the nose, there's burnt rubber, peat and stone fruits on the spicy, buttery, round palate, long finish with peat smoke, some sweet and savory notes, there's a slightly bitter note that disappears a couple minutes in. A splash of water just kinda muted everything, I think did not make it better. -

3rd of 6 in a sample pack of Park Cognac. Soft floral notes, essential orange oil and black tea on the nose, soft and supple on the palate with light honey, vanilla and black tea, the medium length finish is a little spicy with the light honey, vanilla and black tea notes. Very subtle yet delicious. Wish I had more!
