Nose: Carmel, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange and vanilla Taste: creamy orange custard, spice, toasted oak tannins, honey and vanilla Finish: sharp and quick, has a faint burn reminiscent of baking spices Doesn’t have the typical maple sweetness that usually turns me away from bourbon. Great tasting dram overall.

Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 24, 2020 (edited April 19, 2021)Smooth and sweet, notes of fall spices linger in the back but the sweet maple, vanilla, and fruit takes over. Short finish with little burn -
Nose: light peat and sea air, reminds me of a blend between Ardbeg 10 and Talisker 10. Apples, pears, and lemons also present. Taste: smoke and peat start, but lighter than I was expecting. Oily and briny moving to fruit notes listed above. Finish: salty and fruity with peat staying on the tongue after. Overall lighter than I was expecting for only aging for 5 years. Good for a daily dram.
