Tastes

It's a pretty respectable whisky. There's definitely rye on the nose, with hints of warm spices and peanut butter - it's an odd combination but it works. The palate has notes of cherry and charred oak with an undertone that is floral. The texture is a little thin and I hold the 40% ABV responsible, although the finish has some legs. It's ok, and I'm going to agree with another reviewer here: it probably pairs very well with Coke.

Touch of lavender and fabric softener on the nose, with coffee roast and green tea on the palate. Texture is oily with a spicy finish. It's not bad.

Pretty good stuff! Nose: cut grass, wet dog, nutmeg and heather flower. Palate: black tea, chocolate and some peppercorn.

Nose: apple, popcorn, caramel and some malted barley. Palate: more caramel, ginger and cigar box. Overall: complex and pleasant.

What the hell is this??? Garam masala (I SWEAR) on the nose - really peculiar and off-putting, and I love Indian food. Palate has spent matches, rubber and exotic spice. Originality: 10/10. Desirability: 0/10

I don't know... It's not terrible, but it's not delicious either. Cream soda, vanilla and maybe walnut on the nose. Some fresh tabacco leaves, smoke and ginger on the palate. Short finish.

Simple and without presumption. The nose and flavour is obvious: it's in the damn name! Also touches of citrus and metal, with some rubber.

Nose: almond, tangerine, mint, honey and a touch of brine. Palate: barley, anise and walnut. Overall: nose is so-so, palate is good, finish is decent.

Nose: aromatic with green apple, caramel, a touch of cedar wood, linseed oil and vanilla. Palate: weak and flat with cooked cereal, mown lawn and spice. Overall: decent.

Decent enough dram. There's some orchard on the nose, with cream and whiffs of chardonnay wine. The palate has notes of ginger and pepper with a long and bitter finish.
