Weller Special Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 5, 2019 (edited October 6, 2019)Rested 10 minutes. Served neat in a Glencairn. Light golden color Nose - cherry, cinnamon, caramel apple, slight ethanol Palette - silky, lighter body, toasted oak, stone fruit, toasted wheat but with some heat it kinda has a rye vibe actually Finish - thicker mouthfeel, sourdough, a nice heat lingers for a little bit, cherry and baked apples. Overall a very nice bourbon. Nothing really sticks out too much. Easy drinker that is very quality, but not super special. Great drinker for the price.26.99 USD per Bottle -
Rested 15 minutes. Served neat in a Glencairn. Light amber color. Legs for days. Nose - vanilla, sweet cinnamon, sourdough, toasted oak, stone fruit Palette - very silky, toasted marshmallow, toasted oak, baking spices Finish - cherry, sweet, very nice slightly subtle heat. Lingers for quite a while. Roasted vanilla on the back end This is such a nice bourbon. Like very nice. Very smooth and balanced. Not too in your face, but all the flavor you want. So much better than the price suggests. Will make this a staple.32.0 USD per Bottle

Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 14, 2019 (edited September 18, 2019)Rested 15 minutes. Served neat in a Glencairn. It’s hard to not like the packaging. Really cool presentation. Very nice golden color. Lighter than a lot of other bourbons I’ve had. Alabama ABC single barrel select. Barrel no 63. Nose - vanilla, caramel, sweet raisin, plum Palette - very silky. Vanilla extract, burnt caramel, oak, slight sourdough toast, oats Finish - long lingering finish. Very satisfying. Vanilla extract, toasted oak, not much sweetness at all. It definitely stacks up to my other 4.5 pick, the ECBP, but it’s very different which is cool. Was definitely worth searching for.60.0 USD per Bottle -

Maker's Mark Cask Strength
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 10, 2019 (edited November 13, 2019)Rested 10 minutes. Served neat in a Glencairn. Nose - definitely a wheater. Burnt caramel, sweet corn, sourdough Palette - a cold heat, as weird as that sounds. Peppermint, oak, leather, maybe some dark chocolate? Finish - definitely some heat on it. Spearmint, vanilla, toasted oak. It has a nice chilled heat like a spearmint that lingers for a while. It’s pretty nice. Overall, a pretty good drinker. Provides a different taste than the rest of my collection. Definitely a nice, sweet wheater. Would not want this if it wasn’t barrel proof. Would be too sweet.40.0 USD per Bottle
