Lagavulin 16 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed October 14, 2015 (edited November 15, 2015)One of the tastiest I've yet to try, the Lagavulin 16 year has a powerful aroma that is filled with all the dark and strong senses; meaty, dark chocolate and smokey. The notes are filled with fruity seaweed that is deliciously peaty without overwhelming on its smokey taste. This is a gift to the palette. -
Angel's Envy Rye Finished in Caribbean Rum Casks
Rye — USA
Reviewed March 30, 2015 (edited July 16, 2015)A good spiced nose that leads into a tasteful vanilla and cinnamon. A bit of maple caramel that is definitely quite sweet because of its run barrel finish. A personal favorite of mine. -
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 30, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)Light nose with Highland grassy and honeydew notes. Very smooth palette with a bit of spicy that turns very sweet and fruity, with a finishing taste of dark chocolate.
