Laws Four Grain Straight Bourbon Cask Strength
Bourbon — Colorado, USA
Reviewed May 13, 2021 (edited May 1, 2022)The nose is very layered. Rich pipe tobacco and rye spice, tempered by oak and red fruits. Tastes bright and hot. More rye. Caramel and oak. Spicy herbal notes as it finishes. There’s a lot going on after cracking the seal. Will definitely come back to this bottle after a while. Good pour! -
Fortaleza Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed May 13, 2021 (edited July 23, 2022)This is a wonderful pour. Nose is borderline addictive, rich and vibrant agave enhanced by earthy oak. And the taste of the agave, sweet and lush, balanced with the caramel oak. Just delicious. Wow. Very pleased with this tequila. Definitely a staple in the liquor cabinet. -

Reviewed April 25, 2021 (edited May 17, 2021)Outstanding nose of oak, maple syrup and dr pepper? not sure but its a really delicious smell. The mouthfeel is also a great, creamy coat. Tastes are close to dried cherry, with vanilla and faint dark caramel and oak. Finishes with some nutmeg and spice. light tobacco. Can pick up some VERY nice charred oak notes in all three areas. Really great whiskey! -
