Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 22, 2021 (edited November 21, 2021)How did this get such a high distiller score. 2012 Smooth, mildly sweet, leather, spice, oak. It’s ok. Definitely not a 96. They must’ve got a tight ass barrel. -
First: I have a ton of respect for distillers that can put out a bottled in bond product. There’s a lot of stuff out there that sells you insanely overpriced MGP. And you think it’s cool Nose. Vivid green apple skins and caramel. Palate: GREAT mouthfeel. Sweet oak. Hot spice burn and some slow molasses tannins. All in all, not a bad pour at all. It’s got it’s own mood for sure. I’m far from an expert. Just my opinion.
