I read various review about Zaya, so during the Holidays, I purchased a bottle of Zaya 16. My expectations were to be something similar to Diplomatico Gran Reserva, but what I got was a mouth full of spices, and tart. I tried on ice, and not much improvement. Some of my friends liked it, but I guess this one is not for me. I left it with my friend to enjoy.

I like the bottle and the tradition of Bacardi rums. This Gran Reserva Limitada was in my inventory for a while before I opened, expecting a smooth experience. I was a little disappointed. The aroma is strong and the color is rich and dark. But for the price, of nearly $100, there are more options out there, especially if you are looking for a sweet experience. The Zacapa Solera 23 is a great option.

Appleton Estate 21 Year Limited Edition
Aged Rum — Jamaica
Reviewed May 9, 2020 (edited May 11, 2020)AE 21 is one of my preferred and most liked rums. I appreciate the regulations in Jamaica to bring a pure rum. Dark chocolate, leather and sweet smooth drink. The finish is superb. A little pricey, but very available. -
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Rum
Aged Rum — Barbados
Reviewed May 9, 2020 (edited September 13, 2020)This is one of my most liked rums. The price range is a competitive one, with Zacapa, Diplomatico, El Dorado and others, but Plantation XO is a truly great sipping rum and value. Like other rums in the category, this rum is sweet, but is not too sweet (like the Diplomatico). The palate is rich and the finish is not too warm -
Gran Patrón Piedra Extra Añejo Tequila
Tequila Extra Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed May 3, 2020 (edited September 30, 2020)This is my only tequila bottle and this is as close as you can get to perfection. The nose is silky chocolate and the palate is smooth, very light smoke, and more smoothness. The finish is heavenly. This is a pricey bottle, but if you are looking for a special drink, for that special occasion, memory, this has to be on your list.300.0 USD per Bottle
