Fruity, spicy and warm. This drink is sherry and it’s strong. The finish is a little short, dry. I think the A’Bunah has an edge on this one.

This is a wonderful drink. Full body, sweet, sherry. The aroma is romantic and the palate is a sherry love affair. I really liked this drink. Terrific.

Continuing tasting my peated whiskys. As soon as I opened the bottle, a similar smoke, burn match smell hit my nose. On the glass the color is light, like the Ardbeg 10, and on the nose smoke and citric like orange peel and a little salt. On the palate more smoke and saltiness, warm finish. But after the finish, for several minutes, I can still taste and smell the peat. Nice.

Truly like Glenmorangie. Their line up is so diverse that makes them a great choice for scotch drinkers. This one is sweet and fruity and the finish is a little long but not harsh.

I find this to be nicely balanced scotch. On the nose I get sweet and rich fruits, with the palate being a little spicy and chocolate. The finish is good, not too warm or lenghty.

Finally opened the bottle. On the nose I get fruits like pear or green grapes and a hint of peat. On the palate the peat subsides to the fruity flavors. Others review states floral notes, but I don’t get that. Maybe I don’t have the palate or baseline to know the difference. The finish is a little Smokey and lasting. Overall a good drink.

I am not a peaty drinker, but I need to expand my horizons. The Ardbeg 10 was recommended as a starter in this type. From the time I popped the seal, an interesting, but nice smokiness hit my nose. Although I have seen various videos about it, I was surprised to see the color to be as light as it was. After putting a little in the glass, the peatiness was mixed with a little ash smell and something else that I could not make. On the palate, it was a little citric and a little minty. The finish is a little smokey, a little lasting. Very surprising for me. This is a truly great dram to start down the path of peated whisky.

I found this to be a good whisky. On the nose this is a little dark, sweet, spicy. On the palate I get a little peat, spicy and warm. The finish lingers a bit, probably due to the higher ABV. I think this is a good whisky, but for the price (around $80) there's a lot of choices out there.

I do not have too many blends, but I found this one for a good price. The aroma is a little fruity, but mellow. On the palate, there's a little peat with more fruity flavor and chocolate. The finish is light a a little short, but I do not mind that. I think this is a good value for the price of an 18 year blend, around $75

A little lite, not smokey, sweet and with hints of caramel. On the nose, this whisky is a little light. On the palate hints of caramel and honey. The finish is short, but satisfying. During this time that people are looking for Japanese Whisky, Yamato offers a valuable option.
