CACHAÇA VELHO FERREIRA IPE AMARELO
Cachaça — Bichinho, Prado, Minas Gerais , Brazil
Reviewed November 18, 2024In the first half of the 20th century, the drover Antônio Ferreira Neto left the friendly village of Vitoriano Veloso (Bichinho), who, along dusty roads and on the back of donkeys, bought one of the best cachaças in the region. The product was taken to the warehouse of his father, Vicente Ferreira Rodrigues, known commercially in São João Del-Rei. Both father and son had the desire to one day produce their own cachaça. Their dream was realized by the third generation of the family. In 1997, Velho Ferreira was born, bringing together decades of experience in the art of selecting and offering the purest and most authentic cachaça from Minas Gerais. The name is a tribute by Cláudio Ferreira da Silva to his father, Antônio Ferreira Neto (Velho Ferreira), whose photo appears on the label of this unique drink. Always in copper stills, it was produced until 2015 in Bichinho. Today it is produced on the Cantagalo farm (Prados - MG), but maintains its link with Bichinho, where it is stored, aged and sold. Velho Ferreira offers its lovers the taste of stories, the excellence of the raw materials, the knowledge from father to son and the tradition of the best cachaças in Minas Gerais. Cachaça Velho Ferreira is aged in Yellow Ipê barrels for 30 months. Notes of spices, integrated wood. Source Velho Ferreira website.15.0 USD per BottleMr. Crab Seafood BH -

Cachaça — Lavras, Minas Gerais , Brazil

CACHAÇA ARMAZEM VIEIRA SAFIRA
Cachaça — Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil
Reviewed November 18, 2024Cachaças Armazem Vieira have been produced on the island of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil, since the 19th century. The construction of the maritime warehouse in 1840, on the seafront in the small bay of Saco dos Limões, was an important milestone in commercialization between the different parishes and camps in the region. The warehouse also traded with the large international sailing ships that docked on the Island to supply themselves with water, coffee, cassava flour, sugar, meat, vegetables, nautical equipment, ship masts (ariribá) and the essential cachaça. In 1983, engineers and mixologists Wolfgang Schrader and Renato Grasso Bollo acquired the historic Armazem Vieira and were fascinated to learn about the tradition in the production of the distillate. Thus, they began their own story with the objective of producing quality Craft Cachaças to place them on the international market among the best distillates. In 1985, they began production and opened a promotional bar with the same name, located in the historic Armazem Vieira building. Cachaça Armazem Vieira Safira 670ml is stored for three years in ariribá and grápia barrels. Light, has an alcohol content of 40%. Drink made for making caipirinhas and cocktails. The presence of grapia wood stands out, where its pungent extract combines with the distillate's congeners. When tasting it, you feel a light cachaça, reminiscent of brown sugar. AGUARDENTE CARIBÉ AMBURANA
Aguardiente — Januária, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Reviewed November 18, 2024 (edited November 20, 2024)600 kilometers from the capital Belo Horizonte is one of Minas Gerais' jewels that borders the São Francisco River. With almost 70 thousand inhabitants, the city of Januária is proud to have the only Pantanal in the state and is currently seeking UNESCO recognition for the Peruaçu National Park as a World Heritage Site and home to the largest stalactite in the world. In addition to all these natural beauties, the city of Januária is known for being the birthplace of Aguardente Caribé. The history of Caribé is intertwined with the history of the city of Januária. The drink has been produced, bottled and stored in Amburana barrels for 75 years. The soil suitable for the production of sugar cane, combined with the climate, makes the northern region of Minas Gerais ideal for the product. The success of Caribé over all these years goes beyond borders, taking the name Januária not only to other Brazilian states but even to other countries. Caribé is a drink aged in amburana barrels, a typically Brazilian wood. Robust, it has an alcohol content of 48%, which is not noticeable in the mouth because the alcohol is very well integrated. The spirit is very balanced and the distillate is purchased from local producers, registered for over twenty years and who have proven that they maintain the same quality standard. Some older suppliers have been supplying a typical regional product for over 50 years. Source Cachaçaria Nacional.1.0 USD per ShotSão Bartolomeu -
