Cachaça Tiê was born in Aiuruoca, in the south of Minas Gerais, on the edge of the Circuito das Águas. It is part of the Terras Altas da Mantiqueira Circuit, the Serra do Papagaio and Serra da Mantiqueira State Park, being considered one of the best cities for Ecotourism and with a great tradition in the artisanal production of cachaça. Its production is artisanal and aligns traditional methods with the good manufacturing practices necessary to guarantee high quality, with a lightly perfumed flavor and aroma. From planting sugar cane to bottling the drink, Cachaça Tiê undergoes rigorous quality control. The cutting of the plant is done manually, without the use of fire, preventing undesirable components from appearing during fermentation, carried out in stainless steel vats with special yeast and for a controlled time. The fermented must, the result of the previous stage, is placed in a copper still to obtain the final product. Of the total distillate, only the heart is stored in stainless steel and oak barrels and is transformed into Tiê Ouro or Tiê Prata. Cachaça Tiê Prata 670ml is a drink stored in stainless steel barrels. Produced in a copper still following the best Minas Gerais traditions, it preserves the sweet aromas and flavors of sugar cane, with a pleasant spicy finish. Excellent for drinking pure and perfect in the composition of the most varied drinks and cocktails. Robust, it has an alcohol content of 42%. The name Tiê is a tribute to the bird that is considered the symbol of the Atlantic Forest and one of the most spectacular birds in the world due to its reddish plumage. CACHAÇA TONEL DE MINAS CLÁSSICA CARVALHO
Cachaça — Lavras, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Reviewed April 2, 2024 (edited April 3, 2024)The history of cachaça began in 1985 as a small artisanal still on the “Casa Nova” farm, owned by our founder Mr. Gláucio Augusto de Souza, located in the rural area of Lavras, south of Minas Gerais. The Alambique underwent improvements to its structures so that production could increase. In 2011, André Luís Chalfoun de Souza, son of Mr. Gláucio Augusto, began the process of registering the brand “Tonel de Minas”, the name that accompanied the cachaça since the beginning of our production and in the following year his son took over the direction following in his father's footsteps. The highest quality and most profitable sugar cane is planted in the farm's own sugarcane fields. Production at Tonel de Minas is currently carried out by two copper stills, with a structured and modern environment for production. Cachaças are produced in the following versions: Relíquia, Gold and Silver. With an alcohol content of 38% Vol, Cachaça Clássica is produced 100% by hand. The softness of the product and its unparalleled flavor are guaranteed by the storage and reservation process in oak barrels. However, the producer did not say how long the drink remains aging in oak barrels. Source: Tonel de Minas website.2.0 USD per ShotVia Deslandes -
