Excellent scotch. Dried plum and raisins, tobacco, smoked bacon, salted caramel, dark chocolate, and leather

Vanilla and fresh pastry nose, slight dried grass/hay. Carmel, spicy finish. Good for a Tennessee whiskey, more complexity than Jack

Grilled melon, leather, walnuts, slight herbal/medicinal nose; hay, brackish bog water, and mint. Finish of cherries and nutmeg dusted nectarines

Leather and vanilla. Smoked stone fruits (peaches, cherries) and ozone. Bog water, antiseptic finish

Notes of dried grass and leaves, barbecued pear, shoe polish, vanilla, carmel and post-rainstorm air. less smoke than I expected, but good balance for a heavy peat whisky.

It took me a few pours to appreciate this. Dry, almost white wine nose. Slightly spicy and oaky with some strawberry and plum jam notes. Smooth finish (with as touch of water to open up the whisky). Definitely worth a try, different from an american whiskey or scotch with qualities that almost straddle the two
