Tastes

First whiff gives a nice toffee and nut aroma. Rich oily mouthfeel, mildly sweet and a nice smoke, more woody than peaty. Spicy finish and a lingering bitterness that leaves you wanting the next sip.

Lighter than laphroaig, honey sweet palate with a little lemon, long spicy and peaty finish.

Pretty much as described, very apple forward nose. Creamy and thick texture, really nice. A whiff of smoke on the finish. A drop of water dulls really cuts back the spice on the finish. I'd buy a bottle.

Strong apple, oak, and honey aromas with a bit of coconut. Woody and earthy palate, with just a touch of honey cream and toast, maybe some leather or nuts? Not overly sweet. Smooth, moderate but relatively nondescript finish, a bit dry. Nice whisky overall but I prefer green spot.

Pretty complex, each taste is a little different. Not much nose, but nice palate with vanilla, oak, spice and some fruit, among others. Peppery finish. Not a bad rye, but I prefer others.

Earthy and smoky nose with a little honey. A quick, slick honey on the palate which gets swept away by an oily peat. A little grassy as well, very pleasant and easy to drink. Just the slightest hint of spice appears as you hold the whisky in your mouth and let it roll around. Mild sweet finish. 7/10, worth the price if you can get it under $30.

Vanilla and apples on the nose. More of the same on the palate. Rich, smooth, and fruity. A little dark chocolate on the finish. Kind of non-descript, lots of bourbon character. Nice at a bar but don't need to buy. Spend the money on an actual bourbon instead.

Honey nose, not as sweet on the palate but also not too hot. Toasty and buttery.

Very sweet and fruity nose, apples and honey. The palate delivers what the nose promises, with additional spice and smoke. Nice viscous mouthfeel. Moderate finish with the apple and smoke lingering. Worth a spot in the cabinet!
