Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed April 13, 2018 (edited August 6, 2018)N - honey, floral and light citrus T - cereal and salt water F - brine, spicy I think the 100 proof is fooling you to think there is a peaty note when there isn’t. If you add a bit of water it becomes way less intense. I like the uniqueness of this one. -
Green Spot Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed February 24, 2018 (edited October 6, 2018)N - fruits maybe bananas T - more fruits, sweet and light wood F - so much green apples Overall I really enjoy this. The wood burn at the end contrasts the lighter fruit flavor really nicely. -
Laphroaig 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed February 13, 2018 (edited September 9, 2018)N - Smoke and iodine T - heavy peat, more iodine, sea salt, seaweed, earthy notes B - opens up when given time to rest The more I drink this the less the iodide flavor bothers me. I’ve grown to love the harshness of this dram. Still can’t beat it for a price - I always have one in my collection. One of the best value single malts I’ve had. Also check out their marketing videos - the branding is amazing.30.0 USD per Bottle -
