Lagavulin 9 Year (Game of Thrones-House Lannister)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 6, 2021 (edited August 9, 2021)A very dry, briny and slightly astringent kind of peat. Some iodine and black pepper going on. Very crisp, not much of the usual lagavulin hint of sweetness. Damn fine scotch!62.0 USD per Bottle -
J.P. Wiser's Triple Barrel Rye
Canadian — Ontario, Canada
Reviewed December 18, 2020 (edited December 27, 2020)Its an easygoing rye, not as spicy as some. Definitely a standout among Canadian whiskys, and well worth the price.17.99 USD per Bottle -
McClelland's Single Malt Lowland
Single Malt — Lowlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 4, 2020 (edited May 6, 2021)Curiosity got the best of me, since it was on sale. Wasn’t crazy about Glenkinchie either and this is similar. Just too floral and light. It’ll get drank, its not disgusting. Just barely more interesting than a basic blend, if I can even say that. -
Chivas Regal 13 Year Manchester United Special Edition
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed November 23, 2020This is pretty nice. Creamy flavor with just a little extra kick from the rye casking but this is still very smooth and easygoing. -
This is a solid buy. Its a basic irish blend that splits the difference between cheapos (kilbeggan, Paddy’s etc) and nicer blends like Slane and Powers. So it’s rubbin shoulders with Tullamore, Jameson, Bushmills and has its own thing going on. Bright vanilla seems to be the dominant flavor. Definitely want to try the nicer offerings too.25.0 USD per Bottle

Early Times Kentucky Whisky
Blended American Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 30, 2020 (edited November 4, 2020)Not much going on, but nothing “off” either. Inoffensive, cheap mixer. I tossed a whiskey stick into a hobo bottle of this and after a couple days it’s definitely worthwhile as a cheap daily. BUT, you have to consider Evan Williams BIB or ET BIB do the same out of the box...
