GlenDronach Original 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 25, 2020 (edited July 8, 2020)This has been on my list and anyone with experience has been touting it pretty good. Well...it’s everything it’s been made out to be. Super rich dark fruits but still kind of sparkly. A solid sherried whisky! -
For a basic dark rum, this hits pretty good. As a sipper, its pretty much the bottom end of what I enjoy neat in a glencairn. Cruzan light aged rum doesn’t quite cut it but this squeaks in. For $12 a fifth its an incredible value and as a mixer it can’t be beat as the foundation of your rum drinks or for a basis for homemade spiced rum.
