Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed November 18, 2019 (edited February 4, 2020)This is a bottom shelf budget blend but as it sits, its very good for what it is. This is doable neat but best on the rocks or with a splash of soda. There’s NOTHING wrong with it. -
Super rich and fruity, with a heap of extra flavor on top of the GlenMo 10 that it’s based upon. I can’t really say I prefer this one to The Original, but it’s definitely very good. This is from the 4-pack with 100ml bottles of all of Glenmorangie’s core whiskys. An economical way to sample 4 absolutely amazing whiskys.

One of the first single malts I ever tried, and while I’ve since gotten into much more challenging whiskys, this is a solid basic malt that I like to revisit. It’s just a classic, you can’t go wrong with this. Easygoing, fruity and a good daily sipper. Although for all the world, I cant remember when I bought anything bigger than a 50ML just as a get back to basics.

Glenlivet Founder's Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 3, 2019 (edited December 16, 2019)Its a nice single malt, typical honey, vanilla apple, pear flavors you expect of a non sherried Speyside. It also tastes kind of raw and young. Not bad, not great. -
Whistlepig 10 Year Small Batch Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Vermont, Canada
Reviewed September 29, 2019 (edited July 14, 2020)Super complex and flavorful. A whole heap of the fennel, anise, spicy and slightly maple/eucalyptus notes you expect from a rye whisky. One of the best I’ve ever had if not THE best.
