Typical f Cruzan, this is value priced but delivers big. More than just a mixer, this is perfectly satisfying sipped neat. Butter, vanilla, a little oakiness with more richness than you’d expect from a light rum. Compared to the flagship Cruzan light rum, this is considerably nicer.20.0 USD per Bottle

WhistlePig 6 Year PiggyBack Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Vermont, Canada
Reviewed February 8, 2022 (edited February 21, 2022)A pretty solid rye. Not nearly as amazing as the Whistle Pig 10 but this is a solid entry level version of that product. The rye, fennel, menthol and baking spice notes are a bit dialed back but this is still a very flavorful whisky. -
Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed January 29, 2022 (edited March 25, 2022)Typical highland nose: butterscotchy, floral, orchard fruit and malt. On the pallet lots of vanilla malt funk and lite fruity flavors. Overall, it’s nothing out of the ordinary for a highland…just a really good scotch.47.0 USD per Bottle -
For a basic blend to keep around, you could do much worse. It’s not complex or rich but a budget blend rarely is. $20 before taxes, $30 out the door after the Washington state hatefuck, this is one to throw on the rocks while chillaxin. Im thinkng it would be good for dumping in the finishing chug of my nicer single malts for a livelier and richer flavor…30.0 USD per Bottle

On the nose, this comes off smelling like it’s a glass of Cruzan dark rum to be exact. I hear tell Canadian whisky can have a percentage of another spirit in it, and this tastes for all the world like it has a full shot of that same Cruzan dark chugged into the bottle. It’s not bad. I don’t know if it’s the best use of $30, but I do enjoy it. I definitely think my girlfriend is gonna dig it on ice and I think that’s how Im gonna try it next.30.0 USD per Bottle
