Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed May 10, 2017 (edited February 21, 2018)I'm a speyside/highland fan but my absolute favourite is Talisker 10 year, go figure... This one is obviously a cross between the two and what an amazing concoction it is! The price point it is is what is even more amazing, I'd happily pay double! -
Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 9, 2017 (edited July 7, 2017)For me, this is the standard whisky. Nothing crazy or spectacular, just a solid standard taste and will always be in my collection for that reason. Nothing wrong with it at all and perfectly suits the reason it was made for. At this price point especially, don't think about it, just buy it, you definitely won't find anything nicer for that money, it's leap years ahead of the competition! -
Glengoyne 15 Year (Discontinued)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 20, 2017 (edited March 21, 2018)I haven't been into scotch for a great deal of time but being a long time fragrance and coffee enthusiast I do know a thing or two about quality. This one is my favourite drop so far, first smell and taste was such a treat as is every glass from then on. Very rich but extremely smooth, I wouldn't say a finishing bite necessarily but definitely a lot of solid presence there. For me it's a solid, genuine and beautiful to drink whisky. It's going to take something special for this to be beaten in my book. -
