Nose: Toasted malt, clove, vanilla, smoke Palate: Oaky vanilla, cooked pear, cinnamon Finish: Salted butter, baked apple, hint of pepper, clove This has a bit of funkiness on the palate that I usually only get from unpeated Bruichladdich whiskies. It adds a different edge to this and I really like it. 8/10103.0 GBP per Bottle

Port Charlotte SC:01 2012
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 7, 2023 (edited January 15, 2023)Nose: Toasted barley, lemon, smoke Palate: Citrus, honey, oak Finish: Smoke, sweet cinnamon, orange peel, brown sugar Sweet, smoky and citrusy. Really good. 8/1090.0 GBP per Bottle -
Nose: Spices, malt, red fruits Palate: Malt, sea salt, red fruits Finish: Spices, pepper and a hint of salted butter I really don’t get much peat smoke on this. I find the nose quite muted compared to other Port Charlotte whiskies but the nose and palate open up more with a little bit of water. 7.5/10

Reviewed January 1, 2023 (edited January 12, 2023)Nose: Light citrus, hint of smoke Palate: Fresh, fruity flavours - citrus and white grape. Light peat smoke Finish: Soft smoke, slight pepper prickliness The moscatel influence is very subtle, this just tastes slightly fruitier than the 12 Year Old Caol Ila (which I really enjoy). 7.5/1064.95 GBP per Bottle -
