    Nose: Milk chocolate, red berries, dried fruit Palate: Chocolate raisins, apple, cinnamon, cloves Finish: Baking spice, cocoa, dates Rich, fruity, spicy. A definite step up from the regular 12 year old 8/10

    Nose: Peat smoke, seaweed, dried fruits Palate: Lapsang Souchong tea, tobacco, dates, vanilla Finish: Dates, spices, peat smoke This is sweet and subtly smoky. It has depth but would probably benefit from being slightly higher proof. 8/10

    Nose: Sweet peaty smoke, hint of sea air Palate: Peaty smoke, creamy malt, coconut with a slightly grassy, vegetal hint Finish: Black pepper, herbal, smoke This is sweeter than the 12 year old but still has a subtle smokiness. 7.5/10

    Nose: Coffee, maple syrup Palate: Oak, allspice, orange, molasses Finish: Oak, pepper This has the characteristic Talisker pepper but the age has softened the smoke and brine. Tasty but at £175 I’ll probably never buy a bottle. 7.5/10

    Nose: Toasted malt, clove, vanilla, smoke Palate: Oaky vanilla, cooked pear, cinnamon Finish: Salted butter, baked apple, hint of pepper, clove This has a bit of funkiness on the palate that I usually only get from unpeated Bruichladdich whiskies. It adds a different edge to this and I really like it. 8/10
