Crown Royal Deluxe
Canadian — Manitoba, CanadaReviewed June 19, 2015I find Crown very light and smooth but with very little length or finish. This is not something that I would buy but all of my Canadian hockey buddies swear by it, so a bottle of it always seems to be around.
Talisker 10 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islands, ScotlandReviewed May 26, 2015This is a fantastic scotch. It hits the right notes on peat and smoke, not overwhelming but plenty of oomph.
Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed May 26, 2015 (edited June 8, 2015)This is my favorite bourbon. I find many bourbons too sweet. 46 finds just the right balance with the vanilla, custard, cherries, caramel and touch of cinnamon without being either too sweet or too harsh.

Glen Moray 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandReviewed January 11, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)There is a dessert in there somewhere. Lots of fruit. Banana cream pie, pineapple, some citrus notes, and a hint of wood. Very drinkable and a great value. This makes it a very good option for an every day scotch.
Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed November 15, 2014 (edited June 16, 2017)I am pleasantly surprised by this bourbon. I'm not a fan of overly sweet bourbons and this one does not have that characteristic. It's highlights include a woodiness, orange peel, a little coriander, and a touch of brine. The finish is medium and the 100 proof is evident. Overall, I like it. This will make a nice sipping bourbon for the upcoming winter.
Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed November 3, 2014 (edited December 25, 2014)It has a definite sweetness to it. The finish is fairly long with a slowly fading mellow tail. Feels like a little maple syrup laying on your tongue.for a bit. The flavor profile has a little peppermint candy, vanilla, a little grassy leather all fighting to poke through the maple sugar layering. Good for sipping.
Glenfiddich 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandReviewed October 24, 2014 (edited July 7, 2015)Nice flavors of honey, butterscotch, and vanilla with a little citrus. Finish could be longer but is nice and smooth. An enjoyable scotch to sip.
Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed September 26, 2014 (edited October 19, 2014)Buttery pancakes with lengthy maple syrup finish. On the sweet side of things. Enjoyable if you like it that way.
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Kentucky), USAReviewed August 12, 2014Very muted with a very quick finish. Very little to no bite. One could say this is a smooth rye, but it should at least have some flavor with even just a little bit of oomph. Doesn't cut it for me.
