I got to try this while doing the bourbon trail and doing the tasting at the distillery. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was one of the best tasting bourbons I had that week. The cognac finish was very apparent making its flavor profile very different from the other bourbons we tasted that week. While the proof was very high, I thought it was quite smooth and the flavors were delicious. The dark chocolate covered cherries notes were most prominent.

Wild Turkey Forgiven
Blended American Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 13, 2016 (edited September 12, 2017)Very smooth but lacking in depth of flavor. Perhaps a good option for a bourbon rookie. -
Bowmore Dorus Mor 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 27, 2015 (edited October 22, 2020)This is quite good. It's a bit like an angry old man on the sea, with a little fruitiness thrown in. It has a nice, edgy peatiness up front which is then followed by a salty tropical fruit run through the finish.
