Rye bread meets pumpernickel bread, vanilla, and slight oak all with a tinge of orange and salty lime on the tail end. Almost reminds me of a tequila shot at certain turns. Gotta say I dig how they got a buzz back in prohibition days. Not overly complex but solid nonetheless for a $25 bottle.

Caramel, toffee and buttered toast up front. Menthol mint and tobacco. Almost reminds me of a Newport cigarette from my childhood years. Runs hot on the finish showcasing the high ABV but there is a semi-sweet orange peel quality as well. Solid.

Sweet notes of pear, green apple, and honey. Spicy notes of white pepper. Malty notes of peanut brittle hit the palate. Slight sea spray saltiness to it. All working in harmony with an elegant undertone of peat charcoal smoke. A pleasure to drink.

Prunes, raisins, caramel, wisp of underlying smoke, chocolate, salted peanuts, cherries. Bone dry cocoa powder and leather finish. Really delightful.

Sweet notes of candied red apples, berries, plums, cherries and crème brûlée. Woody and cedar notes appear that bleed into a spicy cinnamon. That high rye bill is showcased running hot and dry with notes of menthol and tobacco. Through this all, there is a slight chewy molasses undertone. Would have liked the body to be a bit thicker but excellent nonetheless.

Best of both worlds here as I love rye and bourbon. Unique flavor profile but it all works really well together. Sweet notes of vanilla, banana bread, cream soda and corn. Bitter notes of dill and walnuts. All working in harmony with the underlying rye and white pepper flavors coming through. The tannin qualities are what linger on the tongue to finish. Great balance between sweet and heat. An absolute steal for $45-$50.

Cinnamon sticks, clove and ginger sizzle alongside a vanilla twist. Also catching some peppermint, leather and cherries toward the mid-tail end. Nice elegant punch to it.

Very lush and soft. Honey, orange, vanilla, butterscotch, camomile tea and loads of buttery goodness work their way on the palate. Some subtle barrel spices at the tail end. Not a Jameson fan but this one is very solid.

Abundant chocolate, cherries and vanilla. Sweet and creamy like Cherry Bordeaux ice cream. Next wave comes with a heavy yet smooth dose of spicy oak. The tannins and barrel spices are most prevalent on the mid-palate. Runs hot on the finish with a subtle burnt sugar quality. Not overly complex but what it does, it does well.

Beautiful oak punch that I want from a bourbon yet it remains elegant from start to finish. Vanilla and caramel are present while also providing some notes of leather along the way. Not overly complex but very tasty nonetheless.
