Tastes

Crème brûlée, subtle barrel spices, orange twist and green apple. Little tobacco on the finish. Nothing too punchy. Mellow tasting bourbon. One of the easier sipping and sweet bourbons I’ve had but I like a little kick to mine.

Buttered popcorn, smoked meats, seaweed, ocean like minerals, orange peel & lemon zest. Great mouthfeel throughout. Peated from start to finish but it’s a calm and elegant smokiness with a pinch of salt, leather and cherry cola to close it out. Really nice.

Musty cedar wood, caramel & menthol up front which make way to a licorice and melon mid-palate. Ends mellow yet runs hot in the chest with a rich and long finish of leather, pepper spice, plantains & bitter walnuts. Very unusual rye but excellent for that reason. Would be an everyday sipper if not for the price tag.

Vanilla swirls up front with a sharp spearmint hit. Then come the herbaceous flavors. Dill, chives, oregano, thyme and green peppers. Cherry cola and acidic grapefruit on the mid-palate. Pepper, oak and leather wrap up this dram while the cherry cola remains. Really incredible. The flavor profile and how it unfolds really work in harmony together. One flavor never drowns out the others.

Crème brûlée and brown sugar hits up front. Menthol and grape soda quality on the mid-palate. Finishes bone dry with deeply rich oak and more hits of grape soda. Solid hitting Bourbon.

Caribbean heaven! Coconut and banana cream pie with a side of fresh pineapple jump out immediately. Graham cracker and toasted mallow on the mid palate. Ends with a nice rye spice and an oily leather mouthfeel whilst the banana turns into fried plantains. The fresh fruits are most prominent and make this a true dessert whiskey. Very nice flavor profile.

Caramel, vanilla, abundant cherries, orange zest, raisins & prunes kick this party off. Slight tannin and medicinal quality on the mid-palate. Ends dry with a nice oak and pipe tobacco flavor. This sits on the sides of your tongue and in your chest whilst the fruity flavors remain. Excellent bourbon.

Cinnamon, tannins & chocolate covered cherries are most prevalent up front with hits of vanilla and caramel in between. Mid-palate brings a buttery mouthfeel. Ends soft with an oak and tobacco spice that lingers for a medium finish. Elegant taste profile but I like a little more punch to my bourbon.

Spicy cinnamon, clove, vanilla and cherries dominate up front. Even getting a hint of blood orange in there. Mellows out with a burnt sugar sweetness and firewood quality. Almost Dr. Pepper-esque. Then comes rich barrel char, leather, and more cherries/cinnamon that lingers on the tongue for a dry finish. Price point makes this an easy sell.

Vanilla & cinnamon come first turning into chocolate covered cherries & blood orange on the mid-palate. Finishes hot and dry with lingering flavors of leather and spicy cinnamon candy. Nice bourbon.
