Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 25, 2018 (edited July 29, 2018)Initial nose of apple vinegar. A bit of mustiness. Mellows out after time so you have to let it breathe . Huge caramel flavors. Very oily in a wonderful way. Gives way to bitter butterscotch. The alcohol comes on a little stronger than I would like even for a barrel proof.69.99 USD per Bottle -

1792 Full Proof Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 20, 2017 (edited December 15, 2017)Old oak color. The classic vanilla, brown sugar, and caramel nose. Really smells sweet initially, but then you pick up sour apples, leather and ginger. Taste: comes in initially really hot and spicy. then I pick up leather and tobacco. Not surprisingly it has a bitter finish, but not an enjoyable. overall a solid Barrel strength whiskey, even if it isn't the best one I've had.
