Nose is very nice sweet vanilla corn whiskey. Palate is the same vanilla and corn. Some spice and heat without being too burny. Mild peanut brittle in the finish. Tingles the middle of the tongue then leaves behind a little tongue heat during the decent finish. A far cry from the much tamer budget 90 proof.

Nutty, cherry, vanilla. Some mouth drying tannins but not in a bad way. Compared to OGD114 its a little less sweet and interesting but has less of the artificial sweetener taste of OGD 114. I’d say OGD 114 wins by a hair but OGD bonded is still up there competing with other budget Bondeds like Evan Williams bonded

Sweet floral nose. I don’t get rye whiskey unless I really focus and dig deep so right off the bat all i think is light pretty whiskey. Taste is sweet with a little vanilla and cinnamon. Wait a little and the spice shows up but its mild. I can’t stand Old No 7 Jack. I think its just terrible but this rye is a nice sipper. Won’t stand up to mixing but relaxing and sipping this neat would be nice.

Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 24, 2021 (edited May 19, 2021)Bananas and vanilla wafers. Like the vanilla pudding with nilla wafers you get at Buc-ee’s. Rye spice and heat. Probably not what some would call “smooth “ as it does have some ethanol bite but the flavor is bold and lets you know your not drinking 80 proof... or Bland-tons.
