Blue Run Kentucky Straight High Rye Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 31, 2023 (edited June 23, 2023)Caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, rye spice. I thought this was pretty smooth, even with the rye being present. A good and enjoyable bourbon, but it is competing with a lot of good options given its price point. -
High West Bourye (2020 Release)
Blended American Whiskey — Indiana (bottled in Utah), USA
Reviewed March 31, 2023Lots of vanilla, with some nice rye spice particularly on the finish. Mouthfeel is on the light side, but lots of flavor. This is a fun blend and I had not seen one since 2019, so was excited to have it again. -

Chattanooga Whiskey Barrel Finishing Series: Islay Scotch Cask Finish
Other Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed February 6, 2023This is great. Earthy smoke, campfire, peat, salt, honey, caramel, malt, some herbal notes, vanilla, some pepper and spice. The peated scotch influence is very present, but it still has a bourbon character in there as well. This the first Chattanooga Whiskey that I have tried, and I am a big fan of this one.
