Tastes

Bought an airplane bottle just to try. Nose isn’t bad - caramel and hazelnut. Like Nutella. Thick and oily in the palate with peanut butter coming later. Way too sweet. I imagine for what they’re trying to do, it’s mission accomplished. But not something I’ll drink again.

Fairly standard peat and smoke on the nose. Medium peat on the palate. Long lingering finish with some sweetness and dark fruits in there. I wish it was slightly higher proof.

Ardbeg peat up front and throughout with some sweetness towards the end. Delicious. McCormacks Whisky Grill $21 USD per pour

Drinks way easier than the proof. Lots of smoke and peat. Some sweetness and fruit (maybe apple?) on the palate. The finish goes on and on and on. It really stays with you. Glad I got to try this. $21 USD per pour McCormacks Whisky Grill

Bad. Finished way dead last in a blind tasting (competing against other cheap scotches). Almost as bad as the JW White Walker. Hard to describe. Thin. Fruity. Just bad.
