Creamy, vanilla palate that moves into smoke. The finish has some honey-like sweetness mixed with smoke and a bit of heather/herbal notes with an occasional strange bit of mint that throws the whole balance off a bit. The mouthfeel is pleasantly full and robust. It's pretty good, but not sure that it's a favorite.

I can definitely taste the Glenmorangie under the finish. The finishing cask adds a really nutty flavor, with some faint notes of vanilla and some dry white wine notes. There is a nice whiff of smoke throughout the palate. Seems pretty good, but I think I like regular Glenmorangie and Quinta Ruban more.

Tasty, herbal palate. Some malt, heather, dry, woody, herbal finish. A bit of cinnamony burn in the finish when the heather reemerges.

Maybe it was the chocolate that I had before hand but I got a strong flavor of figs. Burnt brown sugar, robust and full bodied.

Nutty, some grain flavor. Strong alcohol flavor. Herbal, grassy notes, with bitter aftertaste. It's decent, but I feel like the flavors don't balance well.

Nice char, as you drink it dark chocolate elements come out. I added quite a bit of water this time. The flavor is pleasant and mellow - there is a definite anise flavor from the rye, which unfolds into spice with a little more bite.

Nose has vanilla, rubbing alcohol, bananas, brown sugar, and oak. One of my favorite bourbon noses of all time. The palate has wood-dry oak, rye spice, some slightly burnt brown sugar, a faint hint of the bananas on the nose. The flavors are well-balanced, rich and delightful. This is definitely one of my top 5 bourbons, probably even top 3.

Burnt brown sugar and banana on the nose. Banana, brown sugar, and a bit of wood on the palate. It's pretty enjoyable, just too expensive for what it is.

It is definitely delicate- it has a sweet, fruity flavor that unfolds into a distinctly minty flavor. The rice influence is definitely there, particularly after the initial flavors, it's different, but this is definitely a whiskey - the nose is whiskey, the charred barrel notes are definitely present- a touch of caramel, maybe vanilla, some dry wood in the finish after the rice influence.

Sweet grassy herbal nose. Heather, sweet grass, wet straw, spice, slight dry wood. A bit of peat with lingering dry finish. Really great nose - this is one of the most herbal whiskeys I've had in recent memory.
