    An ounce in a Glencairn glass at the Alibi Room in Vancouver. A nice nose, predominately of vanilla. Peated? Very lightly, I would say. Quite nice nevertheless. 🤞😉

    My first scotch whiskey in my early 20s, and I didn't like it much. Nowadays it's my favorite cheap scotch whiskey. A blend, but with a high proportion of peated whiskies in the blend. Oh, yeah!

    Aug 8, 2019 at Darby's Gastown in Vancouver. Color is medium amber. Obviously smoky, somewhat briny on the nose, but complexity is thin, as in lacking. Alcohol burn up front, and some of the promise of the nose, but again a bit thin. Very palatable, but eminently forgettable. Not the most memorable whiskey ever, but not to be disdained altogether. On a scale of 1 to 100 I'd give this about 60. All she wrote..

    August 4, 2019 at Lions Pub in Vancouver. Served in a tasting glass. Nose of fruit, suggestion of leather. Very pleasantly fruity with oak notes. About as nice as an unpeated whiskey can be.

    July 13th 2019 at Central City pub in Surrey. A warm, potent, slightly sharp caramel nose. Warm and potent on the palate as well. A sharp but not unpleasant aftertaste on the tongue. Any sipping must be incremental, a few drops at a time, else big throat burn. Not bad at all for what it is.

    July 13th at Central City pub in Surrey BC. Very Similar to the basic LMCC product reviewed elsewhere. The wine barrel finish gives a bit of extra sparkle. Nice!

    January 2, 2019 at Darby’s Gastown in Vancouver. Served in a tasting glass. Big peat notes and vanilla and caramel assault the nose. Big if not subtle. On the palate the peat is much subdued. More pronounced on the palate are the vanilla and caramel with suggestions of fruit and oak. Despite the stingy curated review by what's her name, I like it a lot. ☺
