Tastes

Nose: bright fruit, citrus, classic rye spice, light oak Palate: oily on the palate, sweet sugar, mint, black pepper, raisin Overall: Excellent. I dont get as much as the port flavor, but maybe my palate is off. What I do get is an exceptional rye whiskey with an added sweetness that pairs so well. Highly reccomend.

Nose: Caramel, nuttiness, vanilla and cherry follow through after the first sip. Palate: Oak, spice, buttery mouthfeel, caramel. Overall: Excellent whiskey and great value at $59.99 if you can find it.

Nose: Stone fruit, dark caramel, oak Palate: oak, caramel, spice, slight tannins, peanut butter towards the end. Overall: Such a great classic. Drinks soft while maintaining core bourbon notes.

Nose: chocolatw, bread and baking spice, caramel Palate: Charred sugars, oak, cinnamon Overall: Solid. Lower on the proof, but tasty profile

Nose: Chocolate, earthy tones, caramel Palate: Sugar, rye forward, vanilla coating, baking spice. Overall: Exceptional and unique. Long finish. The high rye plays nice. The whiskey is dense and jam oacked with flavor. I have not had something like this. Assuming the western Kentucky climate plays an impact. Well done!

Nose: Toasted sugars, oak, vanilla, stone fruit, and a back end of funk that I can’t quite describe. Palate: Caramel bomb, followed by oak, long hits of vanilla, and barrel tannins. Overall: Enjoyable. Nose has more complexity compared to the palate and finish. Super long finish of juicy caramel sweetness. Would drink again, price is a little high.

Nose: Oak, Tabacco, and Vanilla Palate: leather, oak, choclate, baking spice, cheery Finish: Palate notes are the transition form sgart to finish. This is an exceptional whiskey. Highly reccomend if you can get your hands on it. I do not have a direct comparison, but this is much more rounded, less oak dominant/ bittee than the 18.

Nose: Chocolate, malt, caramel Palate: soft, malt, coffee, chocolate, sugar Overall: I enjoy this finish over standard Irish whiskeys. This adds some more depth and even some bourbon characteristics that im accustomed to.

Nose: Citrus and apple, honey, Palate: honey, bread, malt. Overall: classic irish whiskey. Light, not much depth, but easy to drink and nothing bad about it!

Nose: Cinnamon, vanilla, sugary sweet, Palate: caramel, baking spice, light barrel undertones, finishing with peanut butter Overall: This might be one of my favorite evey day sippers. It fits my palate well as I have a sweet tooth. I would like to see more complexity, but I will always keep this bottle on my shelf.
