Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength 5th Edition (2018 Release)
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed May 13, 2020Initial a very disappointing nose. Grassy, lime, apple and a fairly weak amount of peat Taste: the 56% punch is real. When that passed a bit, the taste is lovely with a fresh fruity palate and floral tones. The peat is much clearer now but not overpowering. It's balanced. -
Peat for days. Open the bottle, and your room smells like a just disinfected hospital. behind the layer of peat there is a surprisingly rich and fruity layer of citrus. light caramel. very long finish of peat and honey. dont add water to this beast. youll kill most of the bold flavors. price/quality I actually think there are way better and richer Islays to be found at this pricepoint.40.0 EUR per Bottle

fairly easy on the nose for an islay. there is the peat, and the sea air, but also Lemon and Orange. On the taste there is a pleasant amount of peat, fresh citrus, and after that, a sweetness like a sweet white wine. Adding a few drops of water seems to dull the peat a bit, and accenting the sweetness and lemon. the finish is not long and a bit disappointing. Overall price/money a very nice Islay.26.0 EUR per Bottle

Jefferson's Very Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 11, 2020 (edited May 20, 2020)Light and sweet on the nose with lots of vanilla. I get a main taste of orange peel, corn, butterscotch and caramel. Lots of oak. Overall a bit on the delicate side for my taste -
Loch Lomond Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed May 7, 2020 (edited September 28, 2021)Red fruit on the nose, full and sweet. Taste is full and rich, with red fruit and the madeira finish really shows. This whisky really benefits from a few drops of water
