Bright, tasty, very young. Tart, almost tangy. This is young whisky crafted very well

People turn their nose up at this because of the gimmicky bottle, but, there’s actually a very tasty whisky inside. It’s a sweet, slightly smoky, but most importantly a very approachable drinker. There’s a vanilla toasted smoothness to this. Is it exceptional? No...but would I blind taste this and hide the bottle, to try to impress some snobs, you betcha. Buy one, and enjoy it, it’s worth the freight

Sensational. This is the definition of a perfectly crafted whisky. Throwing all conventions, all norms out the window, this is taking all the best spirits at your disposal and creating something special.

Robust, but smooth, powerful, and approachable. I’m impressed. It’s like butterscotch, but with all sorts of spice, and delicious burn. Fantastic mouthfeel, and each sip beckons you for the next one.

This is a formidable bourbon, that needs to be respected. You don’t just pour a glass and knock it back. You need to pour a ounce or two, let it rest, take a whiff, and prepare yourself. The nose is candied Apple and baking spice, with strong oak and vanilla. The palette is a cascade of caramel, with such a rich texture it completely costs your tongue. Take a moment, let it sit, enjoy it on your tongue, and finally once you’ve worked through the layers then finish your sip. I’ve owned 9 different variations of Bookers, and this might be the best

I tried to like this, I really did, but it tastes like it had potential, but was pulled from the barrel far to early. It has overpowering ethanol, with only a hint of the barrel it was sourced from. Too bad, even at its price, there are far better options

This is one of those bottles that some one buys you and says “oh, I thought you’d like this” and you smile, and say thank you...then you drink it and realize you need friends with better taste. This is junk, a thin cheap grain spirit that’s been flavored, it’s terrible, barely worthy of a mixer. Save your money

Don’t let the low price fool you, this is actually pretty good. I was give a bottle, and assumed it would be a mixer, but was actually quite impressed. Miles above the standard Jim Beam, you can taste it’s youth, but a great value drinker

This will always be one of my faves. Rich, complex, decadent, there is something special. Sweet, smooth. I won’t bore you with nonsensical tasting notes, just know, you should have a bottle
