Knappogue Castle 12 Year Bourbon Cask Matured
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed July 29, 2020 (edited April 11, 2021)Uncorking - rich chocolate and mint nose. Crushed apples and some vanilla. Maybe almost amaretto. Taste is rich, little bit of oil, menthol, vanilla, spices, apricot pits and braeburn apple in the finish with warming on the end. Really complex. One of the most interesting noses and mid palate I've had to date. -
Weller Special Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 28, 2020 (edited September 26, 2020)Uncorking- holy snap. After a number of medium lower priced drams I ended on this. Sweet and smooth. Some fruit and wood with something I can't place lingers warming the tongue in the finish.
