Nice caramel and sweet on nose and taste. Rich and pleasant with a clean finish. Lots of flavor. Mild spices and vanilla middle palate. Not much burn for a 101. Finishes light wood and sweet.

Updating after another tasting. Nose was mostly liquor but also some rich chocolate with some light smoke. Flavor was malty with hints of salt and rich smoke but not enough to overcome. Dark cocoa and nutty mid palate.

Uncorking - Smoke in a natural way not artificial greets you right away on nose. Rich meat smoke. Still some salty air and it definitely has that cable sweater on a beach feel. Taste you get smoke and oils right away with some chocolate middle. Balanced with rich flavor and finishes with some wood notes. Will retaste after I get through the neck.

Uncorking day- Raw liquor nose like a moonshine hits me first. Followed up by smoke and ocean air. Deeper inside an almost carmalized meat fat and some light fruits. You really have to work for the subtler notes and flavors. A bit oily in the mouth with tons of salty brine and less smoke than I expected. The smoke and salt stays with you but slide back letting some creamier flavors come through with bright strawberry leaves and dried seaweed notes. Finish is soft smoke and salt like you ate jerky 5 min ago. Small sips to avoid the harsh bite of what feels like slightly unrefined liquor that was processed well.

Complex. Brings a subtle mint but not as much as Bulleit , tea tree, oily with spices and tangy, tart almost bitter finish.

Neat: Spicy but surprisingly easy for 100 proof. Some balsam wood and dark clover honey in the mid to finish. A few drops of water didn't do a lot for me. Rocks: sweetness jumps forward initially but slightly sharper tart in the finish. Muted the flavors mid-palate for me. This is definitely one I prefer straight up.

This is a peat and smoke monster like an Ardbeg but even more pronounced at the cost of balance. Strong ash flavor but yeah I am liking it. Salt comes through with the smoke. It's like an ocean side camp fire with a drop of citrus.

Sweet and could define bourbon flavor. Smooth, sweet corn, baking spices and vanilla bean.

Light peat and smoke but middle is more orange and toffee. Some spice. Bit thin but not sweet and smooth. Good value for the spice. Bit of bitterness at points.
