Tastes

Nose: Very profound for a Glenlivet nose; light fruity sweet yet dark fruits like plums. Taste: Would not strike me as a Glenlivet if blind tasting, very rich for 80 proof definitely hitting above its range. Dark fruits and hint molasses finishing with a bit of cognac cask bitterness

Color: Deep amber with a hint of ginger. Nose: Beautifully balanced with deep red apple almost as if it was in an orchard with the smell of wood. Vanilla and caramel, candied cherry, brown sugar, and a ton of oak and some spices, even some mocha or other coffee type smells after it has some time to air. Taste: Thinner than the nose would have you believe. A bit bitter from the oak, a small amount of over oaked cherry, and a faint hint of an overripe red delicious apple. The sharp burn of cinnamon candy makes an appearance at the climax for a quick second and then retreats. Hints of a bitter black coffee as well on the finish. The finish lingers for quite a while after one has finished a sip. Quite an incredible whiskey all around.

Nose: Over ripe juicy red apple, and pear, sweetness of a hint of caramel with cinnamon among other spices. Taste: The nose is much more sweet and welcoming than the taste. It’s a mouthful of red apple though thin at 40%, some spices, which make it a bit sharp, bitterness on the finish of bakers chocolate with hazelnut.

Nose: slight pair with yellow apple, white grape, hint of lemon citrus. Taste: The taste is very similar to the nose. More rich pair and slight apple, citrus as though a cleaning solution hitting with a medium spice in the back of the throat finishing with a slight thin bitter note.

Nose: Large amounts of artificial cherry candy, some brown sugar, ripe red apple. Taste: Spicy yet thin, some barrel bite, overly oaked apple and cherry. Brown sugar leads to barrel bitterness.

Nose: Dried Figs and Oranges, Raisins, Red grape, red apple with a bit of cinnamon a hint of citrus such as lemon zest, and a strawberry Jam. Taste: Rich Orange Marmalade, Grape Jam, a bit sharp in the middle (however not bad for the high proof), toffee, thin caramel, feels although there is so much cinnamon it is burning my mouth, thin and sharp finish just dropping off.
