Nose: Childs Play-dough and malt Taste: Exactly what the nose leads you to believe. Malty play dough and a cherry smoke finish. I can’t wait to get this taste out of my mouth. This whiskey reminds me a lot of the Woodford 5-Malt. Very glad I had a taste and did not buy.

This is just bad.... so let down. I knew it was Canadian but I hoped since it was 12 years old it might be ok. Then I hoped it wouldn’t open up. I doesn’t. I’d rather smell gasoline in a glen. It would give me less ethanol notes than this. Not worth even the 20 dollars I paid.

Starts off the nose with an ugly funk that you pull your nose away from. The taste at first you think is fruity and calm and then the funk returns in a mad dash to try and kill you. Not worth the 40 dollars to even keep it in the collection.

Too thin very ethanol forward. No depth.

The nose is dense and aromatic, delightfully sweet and at the perfect proof. The taste is very close to the same adjectives however the finish does linger in some spice and fruit for quite a long time. For 35 dollars this fights with Old Forester 1910 at nearly double the price. If you like Brown Forman products pick up this bottle.

Dense oak and dark fruit absolute hitter

Nose: There’s no way this isn’t smoked. There are not that many notes I have to give on this “bourbon”. Nothing on this bottle says it was smoked but it smells like a backyard BBQ and you used a campfire to grill your meat but the wood chips were just a bit too wet and you used them anyway. It smells like you’re cooking Brisket or something on this fire but it got a bit too charred and you ate it anyway. The taste is thin even at 105 proof! It’s not as smoky on the tongue but you can’t get over the nose. If an Islay scotch tried their hand at bourbon 1st time it would still be better than this. There’s a floor for bourbon and we just found it.

Nose: funky wood notes and some grainy rye notes maybe a dream of some sweetness Taste: Not as funky as the nose, however still not to the standard I would expect out of a pig product. It’s thin and not sweet at all with a slight barrel note. And some light fruit notes. Can’t taste any age at all. Not worth the 50 dollar price tag.
