💭 Tenjaku (天雀) a name taken after the skyfinch (a type of bird). The second Japanese gin in my inventory. The first being Roku. Botanicals include: juniper, orange peel, yuzu, sansho pepper, angelica root, cassia bark, green tea, and peach juice (Taken off the site) It strikes me as a delicate and subtle gin when mixed with tonic water. Perfume like notes, very gentle and light. One can smell the juniper, citrus and peppery notes yet very balanced. It doesn’t overwhelm each other. Overall very pleasant and easy going drink. Recommended! 💭Aged in single Sherry hogshead. An Islay blended malt scotch whisky of Caol Ila and Laphroaig (We guess it’s a very young 5 year old as the peat and smoke is full on the nose). This dram is full of character. Rich, layered and complex. My DOTN! 👁👃👅 Medium brown in color. Medicine box or cigar box literally on the nose; evidently from the peat in Laphroaig. Salinity that reminds me of being near the sea which certainly have been imparted by Caol Ila. It slowly opens up to dark chocolate, toasted grains, rum, molasses, smoke, ashes, and spices. Medium intensity on the palate.

Neat Nose: Fruit cake, raisins, dried apricots, strong alcohol Palate: Sweet and spicy Body: Medium Visual: Tobacco After taste: Spiciness lingers after. Overall if drank neat one can experience its intense fruitiness and spiciness that lingers long after the drink. With water Nose: Banana, mellower rounder alcohol Palate: Sweet. Less spicy Body: Light Visual: Gold After taste: More balanced and rounded. Less intense. Overall if drank with water one can taste banana cake and more balanced rounded alcohol. Not too spicy

Cragganmore 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 28, 2019 (edited April 16, 2019)The first thing that hits you right in the face is its smokiness. Then after that when the whiskey hits your tongue you immediately recognize its sweetness but it’s unlike chewing a candy. It’s got that right balance and fruitiness. It’s full bodied and I manage to taste some creaminess. Very delicious whiskey. A dash of water brings out a bouquet of flavors and aromas. -
