wish i had more time to explore this and let it open up. rich, sweet, dark fruit, with bready flavor from the toasted barrels. this would be a good buy for 100 or less

i think i was expecting more than an imitation of the more affordable and available glenfiddich 12 yr. glad i didn't spend money on what is a palate prepper

this was my first old forester and it was different as a bourbon. toasted marshmallow and pecan, then cherry flavor with liquid smoke that made it taste like medicinal cherry. if you like that then it's wonderful. i look forward to tasting the more widely loved 1920

very shy on first nose and taste but opened up into fresh grain bread. good but toasted rye will probably be better

very unique nose and taste. the most pure rye nose and flavor I've ever had. bright rye on first taste but finished with fresh rye bread which was delightful. small glimpse of spearmint but it wasn't overtaking the rye bread. great rye but not sure I would pay $100 to have in my collection. For 60 or less, absolutely!

overall good flavor. sweet oaky leather. now that ive tried it, i wouldn't spend market prices for it
