Excellent, well balanced Whisky with some welcome peat, but not heavy and not too smoky . This is often the Scotch I go to when I want to introduce someone to peat in a Scotch. Some sweetness here too, I struggle to find the taste of the oak. The alcohol is a bit pronounced, but settles with a few sips (3.5 stars)

Reviewed November 20, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)Genuinely surprised with this whisky. I find myself enjoying it far more than I expected. Perhaps a little too sweet, but it has an excellent fruity aroma and a smooth finish. The rye adds some spice but it is balanced well with maybe some carmel notes and a little wood notes too. A great sipping or dessert whisky.
