Had this in a Suntory tasting involving toki components, Harmony components, legent, and ao. This is ok with notes of Apple, Pear, Vanilla, Honey, Mint, Grass, Caramel, Floral notes, and slightly Peated. This was presented alongside a lightly Peated Hakushu malt and a Chita heavy grain. Lightly Peated Hakushu: Green Apple, Marshmallow, Vanilla, Pear, Mint, Citrus, Apricot. This is the Toki's main component Chita Heavy Grain: Vanilla, Grassy, Corn, Caramel, Citrus, Marshmallow, Floral, Mint, Cotton Candy Liked the Chita heavy grain component the most and the parts outweighed the sum.

Surprise pour at end of Suntory tasting involving components of toki and components of Hibiki Harmony. This one is solid with notes of vanilla, caramel, cherry, floral notes, smoke, and dried fruit. This one probably had mostly American and Canadian whisky with its bourbony flavors.

Great like any other black art. Notes of dark chocolate fudge, cereal grains, oak, raisins, toffee, cherries, pepper, almonds, dried fruit, and tropical fruit.

Got a sample from a friend. Great stuff with notes of vanilla, cereal grains, caramel, peach, cherry, citrus, cotton candy, banana, coconut, apricot, and pepper.

Cask AM100623011A. Aged 6 years 1 month. Great stuff with lots of nutty and chocolate tasting notes alongside mango, citrus, passion fruit, floral, pepper, raisins, and buttery cookies.

Cask 277. Very good with notes of chocolate, soil, raisins, pepper, prunes, berries, and a little meatiness.

Got a sample from a friend, can benefit from a higher abv like in the 43-46 range Nose: Vanilla, Marshmallows, Peaches, Pears, Apricots, Sultanas, White Chocolate, White Grapes, Pineapples, Kiwis Palate: Pears, Honey, Vanilla, Bananas, Coconuts, White Chocolate, Zested Lemon Peels, Lychees Finish: Orange Peels, Lychee, Bananas, Pineapples, Vanilla, Coconuts, Pears, Green Apples, Peaches, Cherries

A friend got me this bottle in japan and this is lovely with dark tasting notes like berries, cherries, cherrywood, floral, toffee, dark chocolate, and white chocolate with bright raspberries and lychee on the palate. This may be more of a 12 replacement than a 17 replacement as this is aged 12-30 years like the old 12 but an average age of 15 here would discourage calling this 12 years old. Better than 12, not sure if better than 17 as this I’ll need to taste side by side to truly find out

Great stuff with notes of rye spice, bready biscuits, maple syrup, spearmint, cinnamon, cloves, pepper, chocolate, cherry, creme brûlée, floral notes, sultanas, plums, coffee, and loads of pepper. Nice Armagnac influence without overpowering the classic rye flavors.
