Sonoma distilling co cherrywood smoked straight rye
Rye — California, USA
Reviewed February 21, 2023There is spice straight off the bat, menthol, licorice and a sweet maple/cherry flavor. the cherrywood smoke is evident but not as intense as most smokier scotches. The finish is hot, cinnamon spicy and long. With a small ice cube the sweetness opens up but the smoke is then more noticeable. The smoke itself tastes much like cherrywood but has a char and slight bitterness to it. I love anything Smokey so seeing this bottle I just had to see what it’s about. It’s nothing too out of this world but is a fun addition to my collection.27.0 USD per Bottle -
Kentucky Deluxe Kentucky Blended Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed February 20, 2023Very one dimensional. There’s recognizable oak flavor, a whisp of sweetness that’s ripped away by a dirty, acrid finish. It’s finish didn’t seem too long but it was a bit bitter and unpleasant. i just really wanted to see what a truly awful “whiskey” tastes like. i can literally only see this being used as a mixer, but even then the flavor is so awful that you should just spend the money on a cheap vodka instead. At least the vodka will only be astringent and not taste like dirt. Sorry KD fans!7.0 USD per Bottle -
Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon (95 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed February 20, 2023 (edited January 31, 2024)I’m not a bourbon guy so this tasting gonna be a bit rough. I get slight notes of cherry and vanilla, there’s a heavier oak and char flavor as well as leather. The finish is a bit acrid and it’s not from the alcohol. the finish Isn’t very long, nor is it expectionally hot or spicy, but it’s a bit dry. I’m not a bourbon guy but this wasn’t something I’d probably ever buy to drink straight. Good for the price though.20.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods -
Corsair Triple Smoke American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed February 18, 2023 (edited June 10, 2023)The beginning is a bit light but transitions into some familiar scotch flavors. I pick up on some moderate peat as well as as some other wood smoke notes. I pick up on some char maybe from the barrel or the pear smoking. There’s some lime and hay in the beginning but there’s some sweeter cherry notes In there. It’s a bit underwhelming, but it’s not a bad whiskey. I enjoyed this one a lot as I don’t find a lot of peated American stuff. Neat has a lot more robust flavors, addition of water or ice highly diluted flavor so I’d recommend drinking neat or chilled40.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods -
The nose picks up a very medicinal sweet odour, the I get some raspberry right of the bat that evolves into more nutty, obvious pecan, molasses, oak and some tinges of anise. finish isn’t very spicy, but it’s medium length and smooth. I enjoyed this a little more with a single standard size ice cube.

Some familiar espadin notes, lime peel, rubbery smoke, saponin bitterness but there is also pronounced black pepper right before the finish which is mildly sweet and medium length. Not a very robust mezcal in terms of smokiness but it was a solid sipper. Good for the price too.34.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods
