Heavy peat and iodine. For all lovers of ardbeg or laphroaig, honestly anyone who loves a salty peat bombs. Light honey in the beginning that instantly translate to heavy peat and iodine saltiness indicative of some heavier islay whiskys. And honestly to me, the high proof is almost irrelevant in terms of drinkability, any fans of ardbeg or Bowmore should see some value in this.

This is a more robust scotch, definitely heavier earthy flavors. I get leather, there is a semi moderate amount of peat. there is noticeable bourbon hints from the cask. There’s not a lot to talk about in my opinion. I wouldn’t buy a bottle myself personally. There’s just not a lot going on imo. I can see this being an intro into single malts from buchanans and walker fans.

Starts off with some light apple and grape, their is some vanilla and oak with a short, smooth milling spice finish. not the best cognac I’ve had but it’s not bad. It’s a little boring but I’d recommend this to someone want a baseline flavor of cognac/brandy for a good price.32.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods

Old Grand-Dad 114 Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 23, 2023 (edited February 7, 2023)Very sweet, many say candy corn sweetness which is very noticeable, high levels of caramel and leather along with some tobbaco. Finish is hot, long, spicy and oaky. This is a fantastic bourbon for the price, it’s very smooth for the ABV and is one of the first bourbons I’ve really enjoyed21.0 USD per Bottle -
Heavy raisin and dark fruit most notably a dry plum. These notes unfold into a sweeter cinnamon spice, oak and hints of hay. notes of orange peel can be detected upon addition of a cube of ice. Very solid budget cognac. I would not mind grabbing another bottle when the need for a cognac arises27.0 USD per Bottle

Nose is typical of most Salmiana mezcal I’ve had. This stuff is… harsh. It’s an absolutely acrid flavor in the beginning, small amounts of whack caramel flavors and minuscule oak. there is a Salmiana flavor with some green pepper but it’s so terribly executed. If I’mma be honest this stuff tastes like printer ink. I hate being that negative. Machetazo has a much better Salmiana mezcal
