ABK6 VSOP Single Estate Cognac

An elegant, a single estate Brandy by the Abecassis family in Cognac, France aged for a minimum of 3 years. It has an aromatic birth with notes of tree fruits, flowers & a hint of spices; while a thick & rich life adds notes of apricot, apple pie, raisin, caraway & mustard seed; that led to a long & crisp death with more notes of toffee apple, cinnamon & oak. September 2019

Nose wood, spice, lemon, vanilla. Palate vanilla, grape, spice, oak, dried fruit.

Nose: butter, vanilla, oak, orange. Palate: smooth, sweet, and fruity. Orange and vanilla, very slight oak. Finish: mildly drying oak, dark fruits.

Fruit skins and soil nose. Unsweetened fruit chews. Light bodied and clean. Buttery finish.

Really good value here. Not the best by any means but very drinkable and not too expensive. My current go-to cognac on a weeknight when I don’t want to break out my more expensive bottles but still want to enjoy my drink.
