This is a monster of a whiskey. I revisited it today and must say it's very heavy handed. If you ever wondered about mollases flavored whiskey this is the one. The long finish ends up reminding me of Jaegermister. Worth having for an occasional dram. Cheers.
This is a fantastic whisky from the balconies line up, my favorite of theirs.
The nose is sweet with a slight oak hint followed by brown sugar.
The pallet is smooth and creamy. A subtle spice dancing with a touch of sweetness then turning the page to a longer remnant of oak and of char.
The finish is a mild lingering spice of charred oak.
A lovely bottle in the $50’s. Definitely one of my absolute favorites from Texas.

Nose: smells like a bourbon. Vanilla and some fruit I can’t place.
Taste: its spicy at first, then the butter and caramel arrive. There is also some frutal notes. I really enjoyed it.
