Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie

Good but I kind of miss the peat. Nice smoke on the nose and smooth on the palate.

Go-to dram!

Malty. Sweet. Similar to Brazilian cachaça which are not too sweet.

One of my first scotches, and have really enjoyed it. Come to find that I don’t enjoy the peated scotches, so this has been a pleasant Islay alternative. Very crisp and refreshing. Bottle is almost done and I already have my next unpeated Bruichladdich lined up (Barley 2011). But I will be revisiting the Laddie again in the future. The distiller has a great story, as well.

Can't get on with the nose on this, reminds me of car sickness and vomit! 🤷‍♂️ Taste is much better thankfully 😋 its bright, young and lively. Sweet malted barley and crisp 🍏. Hints of sea air and brine. Really light and tingles the taste buds. 50% abv but drinks so much lighter, just a lovely little tingle of heat. Love what these guys are doing by being so open with ingredients and recipes. A whisky to really enjoy and pick apart the ingredients
