The Santo Domingo starts off with a fresher, less Smokey and fruitier nose. There is citrus, pear and green apple while the smoke simply lingers in the background. I also detect a hint of fresh smokeless gun powder
The palate follows the nose but in the opposite direction. There is an oily mouthfeel. The smoke hits first but very light. Then there seems to be a roasted fruit like you baked lemon and apples over a campfire
The finish is semi long with pepper and nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon. Finishes like an islay scotch
